keyboard_arrow_downUn large dôme de verre nervuré, aux reflets ambrés, coiffe un pied court à base circulaire métallique : cette lampe à poser tient dans la proportion inhabituelle entre un abat-jour très large et un pied ramassé. Le corps est en métal, l'abat-jour en verre. Les dimensions sont de 40 cm de diamètre pour 50 cm de haut, et l'ensemble pèse 3,5 kg.
La source LED éclaire à 3000 K, une lumière chaude, avec une efficacité annoncée de 120 lumens par watt et un indice de rendu des couleurs de 80. Le luminaire accepte une gradation et se commande par interrupteur. Il fonctionne sur une plage de 110 à 220 V, pour une durée de vie annoncée de 50 000 heures.
Sur une console, un buffet ou une table d'appoint, cette lampe de table couvre une surface large grâce au diamètre de son dôme. La lumière sort par l'ouverture inférieure et se diffuse aussi à travers le verre teinté, ce qui adoucit les ombres portées et évite un cercle lumineux trop découpé.
Deux teintes de verre sont proposées : ambré et blanc. L'ambré est le plus caractéristique de l'esthétique des années 1970 : il réchauffe nettement la lumière traversée et reste coloré lampe éteinte. Le blanc donne un rendu plus neutre et se fond davantage dans un intérieur clair.
La gradation permet d'ajuster l'intensité selon le moment : lumière franche pour recevoir, ambiance basse en fin de soirée. Le diamètre de 40 cm demande un plateau dégagé d'au moins 45 cm pour que le dôme ne déborde pas du meuble.
Ce format convient aux surfaces basses et larges : buffet, commode, bout de canapé. Il fonctionne moins bien sur une table de nuit étroite, où son diamètre deviendrait encombrant.
Le verre se nettoie avec un chiffon doux non pelucheux, lampe froide ; les nervures retiennent la poussière davantage qu'une surface lisse. La base métallique se dépoussière à sec, sans produit abrasif. À 3,5 kg pour un dôme large, l'ensemble reste sensible aux chocs latéraux : mieux vaut le placer à l'écart des bords de meuble.

Is assembling a tripod floor lamp complicated?

The three legs fit into the central plate, the cable runs up the shaft, and the socket connects to the top of the arm. The trickiest part is adjusting the height on adjustable models, which requires tightening the locking screws firmly to prevent gradual sagging.
