DESCRIPTION
keyboard_arrow_downUn cylindre de travertin brut supporte un disque plat en fer, posé en surplomb comme un chapeau : cette lampe à poser repose sur le contraste entre une pierre poreuse et une tôle lisse. Les cavités naturelles du travertin restent visibles sur toute la hauteur du pied. Les dimensions sont de 33 cm de large pour 42 cm de haut, et l'ensemble pèse 6,7 kg.
La douille E27 reçoit une source de 12 W éclairant à 3500 K, un blanc chaud, avec une efficacité de 90 lumens par watt et un indice de rendu des couleurs de 90. Le luminaire fonctionne de 85 à 265 V et se commande par interrupteur. Il n'accepte pas de variateur. La durée de vie annoncée est de 10 000 heures.
Sur une console, un bureau ou une table basse haute, cette lampe de table éclaire vers le bas : le disque supérieur est opaque et rabat toute la lumière sur le plateau. Le résultat est un halo net et contenu, qui délimite une zone plutôt que d'éclairer la pièce.
Le travertin est proposé dans sa teinte naturelle, un beige clair traversé de nuances plus soutenues. C'est une pierre poreuse : sa surface n'est pas parfaitement lisse et les cavités font partie de son aspect d'origine, non d'un défaut. Chaque pied présente donc un dessin qui lui est propre.
Cette matière chaude s'associe naturellement aux intérieurs à dominante bois clair, lin ou béton ciré, et complète bien une pièce où dominent déjà les tons orangés et terracotta. L'indice de rendu des couleurs de 90 restitue fidèlement les teintes des objets posés dans le halo.
Ce format convient aux plateaux dégagés d'au moins 40 cm : le disque de 33 cm demande un peu de place pour ne pas déborder du meuble. Sa lumière strictement descendante en fait une bonne lampe de lecture ponctuelle, mais un mauvais éclairage d'appoint général.
La pierre se dépoussière à sec avec un chiffon doux. Les produits acides, vinaigre ou détartrants, sont à écarter car ils attaquent les pierres calcaires comme le travertin. Le disque en fer s'essuie à sec, sans produit abrasif qui marquerait la peinture. Les 6,7 kg assurent une bonne stabilité sur un plateau étroit.

The three legs fit into the central plate, the cable runs up the shaft, and the socket connects to the top of the arm. The trickiest part is adjusting the height on adjustable models, which requires tightening the locking screws firmly to prevent gradual sagging.
