DESCRIPTION
keyboard_arrow_downUn abat-jour en dôme, assemblé de panneaux de verre ambré et crème sertis de plomb, repose sur un pied en résine sculptée imitant le bronze patiné : cette lampe à poser reprend les codes des lampes de bureau du début du siècle. L'abat-jour est en verre, le corps en résine. Le format déclaré est moyen, avec un abat-jour de 30 cm.
La puissance admissible va jusqu'à 40 W. La source éclaire à 3500 K, un blanc chaud, avec une efficacité de 80 lumens par watt et un indice de rendu des couleurs de 80. Le luminaire fonctionne de 110 à 240 V et se commande par interrupteur. La durée de vie annoncée est de 50 000 heures.
Sur un bureau, une table de chevet ou une console, cette lampe de table diffuse une lumière chaude et tamisée. Les panneaux ambrés laissent passer le flux en le teintant, ce qui produit un halo doré sur le plateau plutôt qu'un cercle blanc. Le dôme étant fermé, la source n'est pas visible depuis une position assise.
Le coloris associe l'ambre et le crème, dans une composition régulière de panneaux rectangulaires. C'est une palette chaude qui s'accorde au bois foncé, au cuir et aux bibliothèques, et qui tranche volontairement avec les luminaires contemporains à surfaces lisses.
La puissance admissible de 40 W laisse le choix de l'ampoule. Une source à filament visible accentuera le caractère rétro et créera des reflets dans le verre ; une ampoule opaline donnera une diffusion plus égale. Le rendu final dépend donc sensiblement de l'ampoule retenue, non fournie.
Ce format tient sur un plateau réduit et convient bien à un bureau ou à une table de nuit. Sa lumière teintée reste un éclairage d'appoint : pour lire longuement, mieux vaut la compléter par une source plus neutre.
Le vitrail se dépoussière à sec avec un chiffon doux, sans appuyer sur les sertissages. Les nettoyants liquides sont à éviter, car ils peuvent s'infiltrer entre les panneaux. Le pied en résine s'essuie avec un chiffon à peine humide. Il est préférable de saisir la lampe par son pied plutôt que par l'abat-jour.

The three legs fit into the central plate, the cable runs up the shaft, and the socket connects to the top of the arm.
