keyboard_arrow_downUne barre de travertin de 120 cm de long, suspendue à deux câbles fins, laisse échapper la lumière par sa face inférieure : cette suspension se réduit à un seul bloc de pierre et à sa ligne lumineuse. Les cavités naturelles du travertin restent visibles sur toute la longueur, chaque pièce présentant donc un veinage qui lui est propre.
La source LED est intégrée, d'une puissance de 20 W pour un flux de 1450 lumens à 3500 K, un blanc chaud. L'indice de rendu des couleurs est de 80 et la durée de vie annoncée de 50 000 heures. L'angle de diffusion est de 90 degrés, orienté vers le bas. Le luminaire fonctionne en 110-240 V, 50/60 Hz, et n'est pas gradable. La hauteur de suspension va jusqu'à 150 cm et l'ensemble pèse 8 kg.
Au-dessus d'un îlot de cuisine ou d'une table rectangulaire, ce luminaire suspendu linéaire couvre la longueur du plan de travail sans multiplier les points lumineux. L'angle de 90 degrés concentre le flux sur la surface utile plutôt que sur les murs, ce qui limite l'éblouissement pour les personnes assises face à face.
Le travertin est proposé dans sa teinte naturelle, un beige clair traversé de nuances plus soutenues. C'est une pierre poreuse : sa surface n'est pas parfaitement lisse et les cavités font partie de son aspect d'origine, non d'un défaut. Cette matière s'associe aux intérieurs à dominante bois clair, liège, lin ou béton ciré.
La température fixe de 3500 K a été retenue par le fabricant comme compromis entre confort visuel et lisibilité d'un plan de travail. Elle ne se règle pas : si un éclairage plus chaud est recherché en soirée, il faut prévoir une source d'appoint distincte, la suspension n'étant pas compatible avec un variateur.
Ce format linéaire convient aux îlots de 120 cm et plus, ainsi qu'aux tables allongées où une suspension ronde laisserait les extrémités dans l'ombre. Sur un îlot plus court, la barre déborderait visuellement du plan et déséquilibrerait la composition.
La pierre se dépoussière à sec avec un chiffon doux. Il vaut mieux éviter les produits acides, type vinaigre ou nettoyants détartrants, qui attaquent les pierres calcaires comme le travertin. Les 8 kg répartis sur deux points de fixation demandent un support capable de reprendre la charge : plafond béton, solive ou platine adaptée. Le réglage de la hauteur des câbles se fait à l'installation, en veillant à laisser un dégagement suffisant au-dessus du plan de travail.

Is the height of the streetlights adjustable?

Is solid mango wood a strong material for a floor lamp?

The three legs fit into the central plate, the cable runs up the shaft, and the socket connects to the top of the arm. The trickiest part is adjusting the height on adjustable models, which requires tightening the locking screws firmly to prevent gradual sagging.
